About screen objects

The toolbox objects are the objects that visually represent and display data, such as the DataView, the Chart, the Cockpit, allow the user to interact with the system, such as the Pager, the Selector, the Button.

Refer to Adding objects to a screen and to Editing screen objects for details on how to create and configure objects.

To configure an object,

• right-click on it to opens a pop-up menu providing access to all properties and features of the object

• or double-click on the object: the ribbon bar will automatically display the most common properties and actions applicable to it. The properties or features not directly listed in the ribbon bar can be accessed by clicking the Advanced Properties icon of the ribbon bar which always provides access to the complete set of properties and features.

All objects have a set of common features and properties such as

• the text font, size and color
• the object's background color or picture,
• a tooltip text and a field to write annotations relating to the object.

These generally are format options which can be easily accessed and configured using the ribbon bar or from the Setting / Format menu option.
