Upgrading a license

Upgrading a stand-alone license means increasing the license level. A Lite license can be upgraded to LitePlus, Power User or Developer license. A LitePlus license can be upgraded to a Power User or Developer license. A Power User license can be upgraded to a Developer license.

Upgrading a Master or Server license means increasing the number of users for any of the user licenses. For example, a Master license containing 1 developer, 10 Power Users, 20 Lite can be upgraded to a Master license for 1 Full, 12 Power Users, 5 LitePlus, 30 Lite users.

To upgrade a license,

•  Launch the KeyManager program.
•  If upgrading a stand-alone license, select the new license from the licenses drop-down list. If upgrading a Master license, increase the number of users currently indicated.
•  Delete the current certified KEY file,
•  Click the OK button. This step will create a new half- KEY file.
•  Send the half-KEY file to Board’s web site, through the licensing area. Follow the procedure described in section Sending the half-Key for certification.
•  Shortly after this, you will receive an e-mail with the new certified KEY.
•  Delete the old certified KEY then detach the new certified KEY and place it in the original directory.
