Copy, Delete, Rename, Move a Capsule

This topic describes how to copy, delete, rename, and move an existing Capsule.

 

To copy a Capsule, you need to activate Design mode. In the left panel, you'll see all your Capsules and folders organized in a tree diagram.
Once the left panel is open, proceed as follows:

1. Hover over a Capsule name and click on the icon that appears on the right side of it
2. Click on "Save as"
3. Choose a name for the copied Capsule and choose where to save it

   The Capsule name must be unique and must not have already been used at the same folder level.
   You can save the copied capsule in any existing folder or in the root folder, named "Capsules".
   Capsule names should must follow the guidelines highlighted here.
   

4. Click "OK". The Capsule browser will refresh and the newly copied Capsule will appear both in the selected destination and in the tree diagram in the left panel

It may take a few seconds for the system to copy all the necessary resources to the selected destination. If you access the newly copied Capsule and you notice any difference from the original one, please exit the Capsule without saving and wait a few moments.

 

To delete a Capsule, you need to activate Design mode.

Once Design mode is active, you can delete a Capsule in two ways:

1. By clicking on the burger menu on the Capsule tile and selecting the recycle bin icon
   
   
2. In the left panel, hover over the Capsule you want to delete, click on the icon that appears on the right side of it and select "Delete"

A confirmation pop-up window will appear, click "YES" to delete the Capsule.

Please bear in mind that, once a Capsule is deleted, it cannot be recovered.

 

 

To rename a Capsule, you need to activate Design mode.

Once Design mode is active, you can rename a Capsule in two ways:

1. By clicking on the burger menu on the Capsule tile and selecting the properties icon. From the Capsule properties page, rename the Capsule by editing the Name field
   
   
2. In the left panel, hover over the Capsule you want to name, click on the icon that appears on the right side of it and select "Rename"

Capsule names should must follow the guidelines highlighted here.

 

To move a Capsule, you need to activate Design mode.

Once Design mode is active, proceed as follows:

1. In the left panel, hover over the Capsule you want to delete, click on the icon that appears on the right side of it and select "Move to"
2. Choose a destination folder and click "OK". The Capsule browser will refresh and the Capsule you just moved will appear both in the new destination and in the tree diagram in the left panel
